The Tortosa train station forms part of the middle-distance network which joins the main coastal towns by the Barcelona-Tortosa and Valencia-Tortosa lines.

Valencia, Sagunto, Castellon, Benicassim, Oropesa, Xivert, Benicarlo-Peñiscola, Vinaros, Ulldecona-Alcanar, l'Aldea-Amposta-Tortosa and Tortosa. Departures from Valencia every day at 10.35 h., 17.00 h. (except Saturday) and 20:10 h. Confirm timetables on the RENFE website.
The Aldea-Amposta-Tortosa station also has a long distance train stop for the lines of the Mediterranean Corridor (Barcelona-Alicante) and for the lines from Barcelona to Andalusia. In this case, you have to take a taxi or a HIFE company bus to Tortosa, since the station is 10 km from the city.

The company HIFE has lines connecting most towns of Terres de l'Ebre, Matarranya, Baix Aragó and Maestrat with Tortosa. It also has lines that connect directly with Peñiscola, Tarragona, Lleida, Barcelona and Saragossa.

The nearest airports are at Reus (80 km.), Barcelona (180 km) and Valencia (188 km.). The last two have rail links with the city. Otherwise it is necessary to use bus or taxi.
